This workshop is a follow on from our introduction to lithography where you will learn two alternative drawing techniques for stone lithography, Maniere Noir and acid tint.
Maniere Noir is gravure technique similar to dry point etching, where you create a flat colour on the stone and gently scratch away to create an image.
Acid tint is a similar technique, creating a flat on the stone, which you gradually burn through using acid. Both techniques create atmospheric mark making.
We will spend two evenings learning how to prepare, draw, process and print these processes on stone.
You will leave the course with a small edition of prints.

What to bring ?
· Imagery that you would like to work from.
· I will have aprons to protect your clothing. I do however recommend that you wear old clothes, as we will be using oil based inks and if they come into contact with clothes can be difficult to remove.
Refeshments of baked goods, tea and coffee are included.
